Department of Emergency Communications

The Williamson County Department of Emergency Communications provides 9-1-1 services for the county and dispatches calls for service for the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Medical Services, the county's four Constable's offices, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers in Williamson County, and several police and fire departments within the County.

Some of the responsibilities of our department include:

  • All 9-1-1 communications, dispatching services to County agencies and other cities/entities as defined

  • Operation and management of Emergency Operations Center facility in support of the Office of Emergency Management

  • Management of Emergency Communications Center and operations

  • Design, planning, operations, and maintenance of public safety radio network

  • Design, planning, operations, and maintenance of public safety information systems

  • On-scene incident communications support

  • Interoperability planning and management

  • Communications system planning and management

  • Liaison with cooperators, served agencies, external departments/entities

    Our team of professionals is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service to the public and the agencies we serve. The Department of Emergency Communications is an integral part of the delivery of public safety services in Williamson County.
