The Williamson County Department of Emergency Communications provides 9-1-1 services for the county and dispatches calls for service for the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Medical Services, the county's four Constable's offices, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers in Williamson County, and several police and fire departments within the County.
Some of the responsibilities of our department include:All 9-1-1 communications, dispatching services to County agencies and other cities/entities as defined
Operation and management of Emergency Operations Center facility in support of the Office of Emergency Management
Management of Emergency Communications Center and operations
Design, planning, operations, and maintenance of public safety radio network
Design, planning, operations, and maintenance of public safety information systems
On-scene incident communications support
Interoperability planning and management
Communications system planning and management
Liaison with cooperators, served agencies, external departments/entities
